Built by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE), the 400 kV Choczewo substation is a cornerstone of Poland's energy transition. Located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the facility acts as the primary power integration hub for offshore wind farms built in the Baltic Sea.
With a grid integration capacity of 5 GW, Choczewo will become the heart of the national transmission grid. In the future, it will also serve as a key node connecting Poland’s first nuclear power plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalino. Securing such a critical asset required an uncompromising lighting system engineered for 24/7 reliability in harsh coastal environments.
Critical infrastructure security & operational continuity
Delivering continuous, fail-safe lighting for safe site operation, maintenance routines, and 24/7 CCTV security systems.
Large-scale area uniformity
Ensuring uniform, glare-free illumination across a 25-hectare site densely packed with high-voltage equipment.
Severe coastal & high-voltage environment
Operating reliably under harsh maritime conditions—strong winds, high humidity, salt spray, and intense electromagnetic fields.
Energy efficiency & smart zoning:
Implementing dynamic control scenarios to illuminate active zones on demand while switching to full output during maintenance or security alerts.
