We are pleased to announce that LUG Light Factory has won a prestigious tender for the modernization of lighting in the Dutch city of Houten! This city, with a population of fifty thousand residents, located on the outskirts of Utrecht, chose LUG's offer after verifying mock-ups in a multi-month testing process. We surpassed leading local and global companies in these tests. Together with our long-standing partner, maas & hagoort, we will implement a project that confirms our readiness to create and win large-scale infrastructure modernization projects in Europe and worldwide.
Under the winning contract, we will produce and deliver 12,500 URBINO LED S and AVENIDA LED luminaires. The luminaires will be equipped with the URBAN control system – the client has chosen to use external controllers in the Zhaga standard and Thread communication in the cloud-based variant. Through multi-track activities aimed at confirming the quality and usability of the luminaires and control system from the very beginning of the project, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders of the investment, we will carry out a project that strengthens the partnership ecosystem and undoubtedly facilitates the implementation of future ambitious investments.
The complete modernization of the lighting in the city is planned to take two years.
