LUG S.A. President Elected for a Position in WCC Authorities

During WCC’s general assembly in May, LUG S.A. President Ryszard Wtorkowski was elected for the position of the Chamber’s Vice President.

During WCC’s general assembly in May, LUG S.A. President Ryszard Wtorkowski was elected for the position of the Chamber’s Vice President.

Members of the Western Chamber of Commerce met for their annual general assembly on May 30th in the assembly hall of the University of Applied Sciences in Gorzów Wielkopolski. As the current authorities’ term of office is closing to an end, the assembly was also an opportunity to sum up the Chamber’s activities from 2012 to 2016 and to choose new delegates to its governing bodies for the next four years.

During the assembly, the President of WCC Jerzy Korolewicz, stressed that in the last four years the Chamber focused on expanding its range of services for regional businesses. During this period, more than 250 events were held gathering over 10 thousand participants. WCC also organized more than 130 trainings and seminars on e.g. management skills, renewable energy sources, labour law.

After hearing the annual report presentation by WCC authorities, the assembly members granted a vote of acceptance to the governing body and elected its delegates for the next four-year term of office. LUG S.A. President Ryszard Wtorkowski, was elected for the position of WCC’s Vice President. ‘WCC is the biggest self-governing economic organization functioning in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. As a long-term member, we try to take active part in the Chamber’s actions. I am happy that other members trust me and decided to elect me for the Vice President position’– Ryszard Wtorkowski said.

Also at the assembly, the Director of the Statistical Office in Zielona Góra, Roman Fedak, presented the latest data on the current economic situation in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.

After the proceedings of the general assembly ended, WCC members met with the Minister of Development, Mateusz Morawiecki who presented the main assumptions of the Ministry’s sustainable development plan. The Minister also stressed the importance of the Lubuskie Voivodeship for the Polish economy and expressed his hopes for the region’s further dynamic development.
