05 April 2019
A delegation of LUG representatives is taking part in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and Africa 2019 which is taking place on April 6-7 in the Dead Sea, Jordan. The event, organized by the World Economic Forum, gathers key leaders from government, business and civil society with the aim of enabling collaboration on some of the most pressing challenges facing the region. The Forum’s intensive two day agenda includes sessions covering a wide range of topics such the region’s energy policies, ways of reducing impact on the environment or planning for a sustainable development of cities and infrastructure.
“The Middle East and North Africa is a region of significant interest for us. We can say that with team of local representatives and a project portfolio including lighting solutions for the Algiers metro and Oran airport in Algeria or the King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture in Saudi Arabia we already have a strong presence in the region but we definitely recognize its potential for further development. Participation in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa gives us a chance to both share our knowledge and experience with the Forum’s community as well as learn from other leaders active and interested in the region. It is also a unique opportunity to build relationships and better understand the local dynamics, trends and market needs what is an important aspect for carrying out our international development strategy.” - said Eryk Wtorkowski, LUG’s Development Director who is taking part in the event.
LUG joined the World Economic Forum, the leading international organization for public-private cooperation committed to improving the state of the world, as a Forum Member in January 2019. As a leading designer, manufacturer and provider of comprehensive LED lighting solutions for professional applications, smart lighting management systems and smart city class solutions, LUG offers ready answers to some of the everyday challenges of the modern world such as improving energy-efficiency, reducing our carbon footprint and increasing our safety and comfort. The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa 2019 is the first in a series of events in which LUG is going to participate as a Member of the World Economic Forum.
