LUG received the main award in the Global Champion of the Year category in Emerging Europe Awards 2019.

The Emerging Europe Awards 2019 ceremony took place at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London on Friday, June 28. The competition jury awarded LUG with the main prize in the Global Champion of the Year category, recognizing the company’s achievements in international development in 2018.

Internationalization is one of three pillars of our development strategy for 2017-2021. Being named Champion of the Year by Emerging Europe’s jury of international experts is a clear sign that we are getting closer to our strategic vision of becoming the international leader of innovative lighting solutions. This award is a success and effect of work of our team of 700 professionals who, thanks to their competences and commitment, improve our position on the international arena on an everyday basis – said Ryszard Wtorkowski, President of Board at LUG S.A. Capital Group.

LUG is a Polish capital group active in 70 countries all over the world. The company operates via an international network of foreign subsidiaries and regional offices. Continuous internationalization is one of the company’s key strategic development goals for 2017-2021 which it consistently pursues by increasing its presence and activity in foreign markets every year. 2018 was a particularly successful year in this regard mainly because of the official opening of LUG’s first foreign manufacturing facility in the Argentinean Misiones Province and establishing a subsidiary in Turkey.
