It is our great pleasure to inform you that our industrial luminaire, CRUISER 2 LED was qualified for the finals of the Good Design competition. Organised since 1993 by the Institute of Industrial Design, the competition aims at promoting products and services distinguished by high quality design.

While working on CRUISER 2 LED, our design team took into account the needs of investors, who choose the lighting solutions for their projects, the installers of these solutions and the people who are going to work every day in the space lit with the product. The investor can chose from a number of possible mounting methods: on holders integrated with the luminaire body, a “Y’ suspension on a balancer, a stiff wall or ceiling mounted holder, a regulated holder or a holder for mounting the luminaire on a line.

Mounting of industrial luminaires is usually carried out at height, what makes installing products weighting between 6,5 and 11 kg time and work consuming. The suspension and mounting method designed for CRUISER 2 LED was prepared taking the safety and comfort of the installer into account and additionally allowing for the process to be carried out by just one person. The number of small elements was limited to a minimum, and the construction of others prevents them from accidentally falling out during mounting.

Dedicated optics systems designed for CRUISER 2 LED allow for an optimal use of the luminous flux and at the same time for decreasing the number of luminaires necessary for a particular object what significantly reduces the energy consumption. They also guarantee the highest quality of lighting suited for a given project what ensures high comfort of people working in the space lit with our product.

The results of Good Design 2016 will be announced on October 20th. After last year’s success of URBANO LED, the winner of Good Design in the Public Space category, we are hoping for an equally good result this year!
