Ronald McDonald’s foundation is a charity of which the core activity is creating Houses for parents of children struggling with serious diseases who watch over their kids. The charity has already established 345 houses around the world and the next one has just been made in Kraków. 

On 14th October 2015, the charity opened its first House in Poland at University Children’s Hospital of Kraków Prokocim, thanks to support and partnership of Jagiellonian University Medical College. LUG Light Factory Sp. z o.o. [Limited Liability Company], being a part of LUG S.A. Capital Group, provided the lighting for this new facility and supported the charity as well joining the group of sponsors of this noble and extremely needed initiative. The Ronald McDonald’s House is a free and comfortable place adjacent to the Hospital where parents accompanying children can relax after a day spent with the child. They can regenerate and cope with stress that touches them to the same extent as their kids struggling with the disease. LUG has been supporting organisations dealing with people with diseases and with those who encounter difficult life situations. A project to create the Ronald McDonald’s House fits perfectly into the social responsibility policy of LUG S.A. Capital Group.

- There are many individuals and organisations seeking our support. Despite the substantial funds for such purposes, we are not able to support everyone who needs it. When choosing among submitted projects we always try to give priority to issues related to providing help to the most vulnerable people and those in extremely difficult situations. –Ms. Iwona Wtorkowska, HR Manager in LUG Light Factory and the Chairman of the LUG S.A. Supervisory Board explains why the House in Kraków received the support of the Company.
