Delegates from LUG S.A. Capital Group visited Posadas, where construction works on LUG’s factory in Argentina are in progress
On Monday, October 2nd, representatives of LUG S.A. Capital Group visited the Parque Industrial S.A.P.E.M. in Argentina. The Misiones Province industrial park is where the production facility for LUG Argentina, a company from the LUG S.A. Capital Group portfolio, is being built.
The attendees of the meeting at the construction site included the Misiones Province Governor, Hugo Passalacqua and the Province’s Minister of Industry Luis Lichowski. LUG S.A. Capital Group was represented by its President, Ryszard Wtorkowski and V-ce President, Mariusz Ejsmont. LUG Argentina was represented by its President, Rogelio Bertone and General Director, Jorge Chamorro Escalona.
The investment in Argentina is the next stage of our expansion in Latin America. In September, for the needs of projects carried-out in the Misiones Province, we supplied two thousand luminaires manufactured in our factory in Poland. Further supplies in the region will be carried-out by the factory in Argentina which will reach its full manufacturing capacity in the first quarter of 2018. LUG’s presence in Argentina and other markets in the region will be increasing continuously – LUG S.A. President, Ryszard Wtorkowski, said.
The new production facility will cover an area of about 1600 sq meters and employ a few dozen people. The factory will manufacture modern LED luminaires, especially for urban areas such as streets, parks, car parks and public utility buildings.
LUG Argentina, which is a company within the LUG S.A. Capital Group, will not only manufacture and assembly luminaires. The company will also carry out consulting activities in the scope of modern lighting solutions and engage in energy-efficiency projects throughout Argentina – Ryszard Wtorkowski added.
