The Congress of Polish Infrastructure is considered to be the most important forum in the country for exchange of views and information on the current condition and the most important trends in the broadly defined energy and transport infrastructure. This year's edition was divided into four thematic forums: 1) Infrastructural Construction, 2) Local Government Roads and Accompanying Infrastructure, 3) Energy and 4) Lighting in Infrastructure. LUG Light Factory was a key partner of the latter, as an experienced manufacturer of modern lighting solutions dedicated for infrastructure, with a number of large-scale projects carried out in this area. Among them are Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen, Algiers Metro and the second line of the Warsaw Metro.
The Forum for Lighting in Infrastructure held several panel discussions, in two of which Mariusz Ejsmont – the Technical Director of LUG Light Factory took part. The theme of the first panel was "Smart Lighting: New solutions in urban lighting" in which issues of modern management systems, road and street lighting were discussed. The second panel, entitled "In search of savings for local authorities” the benefits of replacing conventional lighting with LED technology were discussed.
LUG’s active presence in the discussions was a confirmation that LUG Light Factory has the status of an expert in the field of lighting infrastructure. In addition, during the Congress, the company was awarded "for investment in research and development in the field of LED technology and the implementation of dedicated lighting solutions for the central section of the second line of the Warsaw underground."
As part of the 4th Congress of Polish Infrastructure, the participants also presented their products, achievements and solutions at their information stands. At LUG’s stand, our delegates held many interesting and inspiring conversations with the guests of the Congress. There were also presented modern, professional lighting solutions for street lighting (URBANO LED and URBINO LED) as well as for infrastructural (LUGTRAIN LED) and industrial (POWERLUG LED) lighting.
The event can be described as an extremely important and valuable platform for exchange of knowledge and experience between business and state institutions at the local government and central level. During the Congress the key role of lighting infrastructure in improving the overall safety and optimization of electricity consumption was repeatedly stressed.
