The world’s first LED lighting congress drew more than 350 visitors. Lighting industry specialists and persons interested in the field of solid state lighting had an opportunity to share experiences and discuss the practical aspects of lighting and potential savings in one place.

An important element of the congress was lectures given by lighting market practitioners and employees of Warsaw University of Technology, Poznań University of Technology and Częstochowa University of Technology whose major focus was a scientific analysis of operation and optimization of LED lighting. LUG specialists shared their knowledge of road lighting with the participants. LUG Light Factory also sponsored the lectures.

Taking advantage of the breaks between the lectures, participants had a chance to visit lighting companies’ information desks and confront the knowledge acquired with lighting solutions available on the market. LUG stall was widely visited because the latest LED lighting product catalogue had its pre-release at the congress. LED 2015 catalogue, issued for the time of the Year of Light, includes the newest technological solutions of the advanced solid state lighting.     

The popularity of the congress indicates that the issue of energy saving, provided by LED technology, is becoming more and more important when purchasing lighting equipment. Solid state lighting is no longer a novelty but appears to be the leader in the field of lighting solutions.
